Building on the success of the 2023 and 2025 editions, the Forum will bring together Heads of State and Government, ministers, financial institutions, international organisations, private sector leaders and civil society representatives to advance sustainable and trusted partnerships worldwide.
The Global Gateway Forum serves as a high-level meeting point for global leaders and stakeholders committed to strengthening international partnerships and advancing the objectives of the Global Gateway Strategy. Through dialogue, collaboration and investment-focused discussions, the Forum will help shape solutions that promote sustainable connectivity, economic resilience and inclusive growth across partner countries.
The Global Gateway strategy in action
Global Gateway: The Lobito Corridor - Democratic Republic of CongoView of the rehabilitation of Route Nationale 1 - Financed at €180 million by the European Union through the 11th European Development Fund, this rehabilitation project covers 150 km of Route Nationale 1 in the DRC, from Kamuesha in Kasaï Province to Kananga, the capital of Kasaï-Central. Works on the 150 km stretch include earthworks, pavement in bituminous concrete, hydraulic drainage, road signage, and the construction of three major bridges over the Kaluebo (35m), Miawo (62m), and Lulua rivers (160m). RN1 is the DRC's primary east-west axis linking the Atlantic coast to the Copperbelt, making its rehabilitation a strategic complement to the Lobito Corridor rail investments. By improving road conditions in this landlocked region, the project aims to improve access to agricultural production, as well as reduce transport costs and travel time. Once fully rehabilitated, from the Atlantic to Katanga, RN1 will constitute a major corridor in Central Africa.

Egypt: Gabal Asfar wastewater treatment plantIncreasing the capacity of the Gabal El-Asfar wastewater treatment plant up to 1 million m3, including design and construction, along with sludge treatment using anaerobic digesters, as part of the third phase of intervention.
